Discription

This is not your conventional book [on language teaching], nor should you expect a high-falutin' scholarly text with lots of citations, long sentences, and the like. In this book I want to talk directly and simply about the topics, and I want you, the reader, to enjoy yourself as much as possible as you turn the pages. This book is meant to introduce you to concepts (or invite you to review them) and to whet your appetite about the basics of contemporary language teaching. The foundational readings are there to get you started on more reading if you have the time and inclination.
