This collection of essays is based on papers presented at the Tax Research Network conferences in 2015 and 2016. The essays provide valuable insights into the rich diversity of contemporary tax research and draw on a variety of perspectives including law, anthropology, social and public policy. They cover a range of themes including taxpayers compliance, tax administration for large businesses, tax avoidance and tax policy. They are written by a mix of scholars ranging from current doctoral students through to more experienced tax researchers and cover a range of themes including equity, taxpayer compliance and rights and tax policy.
