The ATRA Guidelines for the Ethical Practice of Recreational Therapy: A Training Manual takes the sometimes abstract concepts of ethics and makes them practical and useful for recreational therapists and students in everyday practice. It guides professionals and students toward the tenets of the NCTRC® Scope of Practice for the Practice of Recreation Therapy, the ATRA Code of Ethics, and the ATRA Standards for the Practice of Recreational Therapy and the Self-Assessment Guide, allowing for personal and professional growth. Both editors have spent many years as CTRSs and have taught at the higher education level. They have also served in professional organizations such as the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification and ATRA.
