Logistics is a confusing term for some people, but the focus of Global Logistics Management is to make the term simple and easier to understand. The text explains that logistics is about a process – a process of moving a commodity or service form an intial customer order to final consumptn. It expands on the various ilnks in the logistical chain – from order processing and procurement, to production scheduling, to packaging and warehousing, and transportation – all the way to the consumer.
