Haight, Ph.D., P.E., is Professor of Industrial Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh’s Swanson School of Engineering. His research interests include safety engineering, intervention effectiveness, automation in human factors engineering, and process safety. Dr. Haight has written numerous articles and book chapters and has edited textbooks, including the Handbook of Loss Prevention Engineering and the previous two editions of the Safety Professionals Handbook. He is a Fellow and a former member of the board of directors of the American Society of Safety Professionals. He has won the William Tarrants Outstanding Educator Award and twice won the Charles V. Culbertson Outstanding Volunteer Service Award, both from ASSP.
